Quick history lesson here….The start of Mardi Gras (Carnival) is officially Jan. 6th. The end of Mardi Gras is Fat Tuesday which always falls the day before Ash Wednesday. Fat Tuesday got its name because people were encouraged to gorge themselves before Ash Wednesday which is the start of Lent. Ash Wednesday is 40 days before Easter, not counting the Sundays between Ash Wednesday and Easter.

Don’t forget the Krewe of Brewe Beach Babe contest at the Sandshaker Sunday at 3pm. Another event you don’t want to miss. Krewe of Bananimals Ball is tomorrow night at the Bay Beach Inn, we were members of this krewe, great group of people who like to have fun.

Weather is finally warming up…..blue skies today…..high 60’s – low 70’s this week….Yeah !!!
Mark my words….DO NOT MISS the Nauga’s Pajama Party this Satruday morning at The Dock, starts around 9….you’ll remember this one for a long time.

Warmer weather is here….updates on Mardi Gras activities….Krewe of Nereids annual Moonpie party is at the Sandshaker this Friday (15th)…starts at 7.
The Krewe of Naugas Pajama will be held at The Dock January 23rd. Dance and party all morning long ( best party of the year ) to the high profile band from Louisiana Dash Rip Rock. Be there early 9am….for an out of this world party. THE BEST !!!
